Individual CPA Search
The Virginia Board of Accountancy offers an online database to search Virginia CPAs. Search below using one of the following criteria:
- Last name
If you are unsure of the spelling of a name, place an asterisk (*) before and/or after the name or portion of the name. For example, a* will display all names starting with an 'a' or *a* will display all name that have an 'a' in the name.
- License number
- ZIP code

The online database for CPA firms can be found at Firm Search.
For information on VBOA disciplinary actions, please contact the Enforcement Division at enforcement@boa.virginia.gov. Online complaint forms can be submitted on licensed or non-licensed individuals and firms.
Downloads are available as XML or as Delimited Text files.

- Select the license status
- Search
- Choose 'Download'
